Oral examination held

On 9 March, our colleague, Dr Pankhuri Bhatt, successfully defended her doctoral thesis. Her thesis examines the accounts of French travellers who undertook a famous Hindu pilgrimage to the source of the Ganges and vividly describe their experiences of nature. With her masterful analysis of these texts, Dr Pankhuri Bhatt breaks new ground in French literary studies and in ecocritical and eco-poetic literary theory. We offer our warmest congratulations on this great success.
