- Academic engagement with Italian-language/French-language literature in the global Romania
- Independent research in the field of Romance literature/cultural studies with the possibility of habilitation
- Participation in research projects led by Prof. Steffen Schneider and in the GEWI focus area Transmediterranean Interconnections
- Organisation of conferences
- University teaching in the field of Romance literature and cultural studies as well as student supervision
- Participation in the examination activities of the Institute of Romance Studies
- Contribution to raising the profile of the Institute of Romance Studies / Faculty of Humanities at the University of Graz in the field of literature and cultural studies
- Collaboration on organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures at the Institute of Romance Studies
*with the option of an increase after 2 years
Your profile
- Completed doctoral studies in Romance Studies in the field of Romance literature
- Outline for a research/habilitation project in the field of Romance literature (Italian or French literature)
- Very good knowledge of Italian
- Very good knowledge of French
- Very good knowledge of German
- Interest in Mediterranean studies and/or ecocritical issues
- Relevant publications
- Experience in organising conferences and scientific projects
- University teaching experience (familiarity with digital higher education)
- Scientific curiosity
- Initiative and commitment, as well as communication and teamwork skills

We offer a gross annual salary of €70,200.20 based on full-time employment.
