Your Responsibilities
- Meeting the objectives in teaching, research and administration in accordance with the development agreement to be concluded
- Independent teaching averaging 8 semester hours per week in the field of teaching methodology of Italian didactics for students in the Bachelor's and Master's program of Italian as a teaching subject in school (secondary schools general education) as well as in the field of Italian language training (all language levels) for students in the Bachelor's and Master's degree program Romance Studies/Italian and for students of Italian as teaching subject in school (secondary schools general education)
- Participation in teaching and examination tasks of the Department
- Independent research and publication activities
- Participation in research activities of the Department of Romance Studies especially in the field of teaching methodology (conferences, publications, third-party funded projects)
- Supervision of students, student counseling and administration of student mobility
- Participation in the conception of new university teaching methods and courses, new curricula if necessary
- Collaboration in administrative tasks, evaluation measures and activities for the external presentation of the Department (e.g. communication with local, regional and national educational institutions)as well as participation in university self administration (e.g. participation in committees)
- Participation in internal and external continuing education events
Your Profile
- Above-average completed doctoral/PhD degree in Italian (preferably with a focus on didactics)
- Completed teacher training degree in Italian or equivalent degree (e.g. Italian as L2/foreign language or similar)
- Current research and publication activities
- Proven teaching experience at university level: teaching methodology for Italian and Italian as a foreign language
- Teaching experience in Italian at secondary school level (desirable)
- Excellent knowledge of current foreign language teaching approaches and methodological approaches in language teaching
- Italian preferably as L1 or equivalent competence (CEFR C2)
- Very good written and spoken German (CEFR B2) and at least good written and spoken English (CEFR B1/B2)
- Experience in the preparation and implementation of scientific events
- Very good IT skills and interest in the use of digital tools in the field of virtual teaching
- High level of commitment and motivation for academic work, including appropriate further training measures
- Initiative and commitment in teaching, research and administration
- Social competence, strong teamwork and organizational skills

We offer an annual gross salary of € 70,200.20 for a fulltime position.
