We, two PhD students in Romance Studies and Archaeology, are offering a space to practise giving presentations as part of our workshop on 30 June 2026. We’ll be working together to hone our skills and asking ourselves: What do you actually do?
The focus is on practising and consolidating presentation skills. Whether as preparation for the next conference or for personal reflection – we’re creating a platform for it here.
The challenge: to present your own work in 15 minutes, in a way that is easy to understand and gets straight to the point. We encourage you to try out new presentation techniques and to highlight the key research topics.
Through feedback forms, you as a presenter will receive constructive feedback that will help you further develop your personal skills.
At our kick-off session with Prof. Dr Kurt Hahn, we’ll have the chance to ask questions about dissertations and conferences and gather tips and tricks for your doctoral studies through a discussion with him as an experienced researcher and supervisor.
Let’s make this workshop a constructive and motivating day together – by early-career researchers for early-career researchers.
Would you like to take part? We look forward to receiving applications for presentations by 8 June 2026 at viktoria.kirchner@uni-graz.at, including the following information:
- Name
- Field of study
- Title of the presentation
- In a few words: What do you consider to be the most important criterion for a successful presentation?
We look forward to hearing from you!
