The Department of Romance Studies would also like to give space to the mourning and the feelings associated with it, not least because many of you will later (or are already) working as teachers. The act of violence has prompted us to cancel the final event of our teaching focus “Romania on the Move” on Thursday, June 12, 2025 and to transform the planned festive event into an expression of solidarity and mourning.
We therefore invite you all to join us on June 12, 2025 at 5 p.m. in seminar room 88 to pause for a moment, collectively reflect on the shocking event, discuss schools - and universities - as safe places of education and express our dismay in commemoration and in a collective and mindful exchange.
