The Department of Romance Studies invites you to a guest lecture by Prof. Dr. Anne Kraume (University of Konstanz) on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 3:15 pm. She will talk about "The Inquisition and the Books. Literary border crossings between Europe and America on the eve of Mexican independence".
Anne Kraume is Professor of Romance Literatures with a focus on Ibero-American literature at the Department of Literature, Art and Media Studies at the University of Konstanz. Her lecture follows on from her habilitation thesis, which was awarded the Elise Richter Prize of the German Romance Studies Association, on
Literature and Independence. Transatlantic entanglements in Fray Servando Teresa de Mier (1763-1827) (De Gruyter 2023).
